Quintiles, SAS Announce Development Of First-Ever Clinical Trials Statistical Programming Certification

Quintiles, the world's No. 1 pharmaceutical services company, and SAS are developing a unique program to produce certified specialists in the use of SAS programming to evaluate clinical trials results, the companies announced today. The Quintiles-SAS Clinical Trials Statistical Programming Certification will certify that the successful candidate has shown that he or she has the expertise necessary to organize, analyze, and report clinical trials results.
Pfizer Drops Application To Switch Viagra 50mg To Non-Prescription Status In Europe

Pfizer announced today that it has withdrawn its application to switch the legal status of the 50 mg tablet strength of Viagra from 'prescription only' to 'non-prescription' in the European Union (EU). Viagra is a well established oral medication for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) and all current doses of Viagra will continue to be available to patients by prescription from their doctor.
